The Do's & Don'ts on How to Prepare for your Mold Inspection -Testing
Do
Live your life normally
Let your pets live normally before the inspection - testing.
Inform us of any construction work performed in the last 3 months
Inform us if the building has been mold remediated, inspected or mold tested in the last year.
Don'ts
Do not remove any building materials prior to mold testing. If you have already done so, please inform our phone representative
Do not leave on or set up a humidifier or dehumidifier at least 24 hours prior to services
Do not set up or leave on a air purifier on at least 24 hours prior to services
Do not clean or tidy up for your services
Do not wipe down or paint any walls, ceilings or floors
If at all possible, do not put/leave the heating/air conditioning on 4 hours prior
Do not cut grass or perform any landscaping 4 hours before testing.
If possible, do not make any repairs to the building one week prior to the inspection. If repairs have been made, please inform our representative over the phone
Do not alter your normal living habits
Do not clean appliances or equipment, 24 hours prior to services
Do not remove discolored material prior to the mold inspection or mold testing
Do not wash cloths, 24 hours prior to the mold inspection
Do not change filters, 7 days prior to our visit
Again, do not clean or tidy up before our visit
Do not change cat liter prior to the inspection or testing
Do not vacuum at least 24 hours prior to the inspection - testing
If any of these actions have been performed call us immediately, prior to our visit.
